Riyadh, Saudi Arabia - Al Nassr continued their impressive run in the Saudi Pro League with a convincing 4-1 victory over Al Khaleej at the Mrsool Park Stadium on Wednesday. The win extends Al Nassr's winning streak to four matches and solidifies their position at the top of the league table.
Al Nassr started the match brightly and took the lead through Ghareeb Alewa in the 25th minute. The winger capitalized on a defensive lapse from Al Khaleej and slotted the ball home from close range. Al Khaleej equalized just before half-time through Awad Al Hasan, but Al Nassr regained the advantage in the second half through goals from Alsulaihem and Qassem Boushal.
Al Khaleej's hopes of a comeback were extinguished when Al Nemer was sent off for a second bookable offense in the 65th minute. Al Nassr took full advantage of their numerical advantage and sealed the win with a late goal from Raghed in stoppage time.
The victory sees Al Nassr move to the top of the league table with 37 points from 14 matches, while Al Khaleej remain in the relegation zone with 11 points.
Al Nassr will be hoping to continue their winning run when they face Al Ittihad in the Saudi Super Cup semifinal on Thursday.
