Manchester City and Real Madrid Draw Epic 3-3 Clash in Champions League Quarter-Final First Leg

Second-Half Brace From Phil Levels Tie After Real Madrid's Fast Start

Match Report

Manchester City rallied from a two-goal deficit in the second half to snatch a thrilling 3-3 draw away to Real Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final on Tuesday, April 9th.

Despite City's dominant start, it was Real Madrid who took the lead against the run of play. Alves Dias scored an own goal in the 12th minute, and Rodrygo doubled the advantage just two minutes later. Federico Valverde extended Madrid's lead to 3-0 in the 79th minute.

However, City refused to give up. Phil scored two stunning goals in quick succession to bring the English side back into the game. The first came in the 81st minute, and the second followed just five minutes later. Kevin De Bruyne then completed the comeback in the 89th minute, leaving the tie delicately poised ahead of the second leg at the Etihad Stadium next week.
