After 18 long years, the Edmonton Oilers have returned to the Stanley Cup Final. The Oilers clinched their berth in the championship series with a 6-game victory over the Dallas Stars on Wednesday night.

Janmark's Short-Handed Goal Leads the Way

The Oilers got off to a strong start in Game 5, scoring a shorthanded goal just over 5 minutes into the game. WEB Janmark finished off a feed from Connor Brown to give Edmonton the early lead.

Oilers Dominate Game 5

The Oilers continued to control the pace of the game throughout the rest of the night, outshooting the Stars 33-16. Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl each added goals in the second period, and Zach Hyman scored an empty-netter in the third to seal the victory.

Oilers Face Avalanche in Final

The Oilers will now face the Colorado Avalanche in the Stanley Cup Final, which begins on Saturday, June 10th. The Avalanche have been the dominant team in the NHL this season, winning the Presidents' Trophy with a league-best 119 points.
