Denver's superstar big man turns in an impressive double-double and the Nuggets move within 1 win of the West Finals.
The Denver Nuggets took a commanding 3-1 lead in their Western Conference semifinal series against the Minnesota Timberwolves with a 122-109 victory in Game 4 on Sunday night. Nikola Jokic led the way for the Nuggets with 33 points, 18 rebounds and 7 assists, while Jamal Murray added 26 points and 6 assists. Karl-Anthony Towns had 25 points and 10 rebounds for the Timberwolves, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Nuggets' balanced attack.
The Nuggets were in control of the game from the start, leading by as many as 20 points in the first half. The Timberwolves made a run in the third quarter, cutting the lead to 7 points, but the Nuggets responded with a 10-0 run to put the game away.
The Nuggets are now one win away from advancing to the Western Conference Finals, where they will face either the Golden State Warriors or the Memphis Grizzlies. Game 5 of the series will be played in Denver on Tuesday night.
